NewPage has announced it will begin the process to sell the Kimberly Paper Mill.

That plant shut down last September and nearly 600 workers lost their jobs.

Since then, workers have fought a long battle, asking NewPage to run the mill or sell it.

The company issues a statement today, saying it hoped to restart at least one of the machines, but the continued recession means it will now try to sell the plant.
