GREEN BAY, Wis (WFRV) -- State Commerce Secretary Dick Leinenkugel says the state's unemployment rate will likely increase into 2010 and job losses will mount during the next six months.

He does say there is good news, the recession is technically over with job gains expected during the second quarter of 2010.

The commerce secretary said Asian demand for heavy equipment is already helping Wisconsin manufacturers.

Moreover, he said Wisconsin is poised to grow because changes in state tax law will encourage small- and medium-sized businesses to relocate or expand here.
