USDA Going DEIP For Dairy

Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack announced that the USDA is reopening the Dairy Export Inhancement Program (DEIP).  According to the USDA announcement the allocations for the year ending on June 30th are 68,201 metric tons of nonfat dry milk, 21,097 metric tons of butterfat and 3,030 metric tons of various cheeses, the maximum amount permitted by the World Trade Organization.  The last time DEIP was used was in 2004.
