Hi. I’m Rebecca Schuld. During weekly newscasts, you’ll often see me lurking in the background of the weather center, assisting our Chief Meteorologist. Go to our website, www.wfrv.com and you’ll find me bringing you the latest weather updates throughout the day.

I come from a big family (one of seven) and I was born and raised right here in Green Bay. I first came to Ch. 5 as a weather intern in 2002. By June of 2003, I was filling-in on morning and noon shows.

My first full-time on-air position took me to the Northwoods of Wisconsin, in March of 2005. At the NBC Station in Rhinelander, I expanded my horizons by adding general assignment reporting to my resume. The last six months there I anchored the 5, 6, and 10pm weathercasts Monday-Friday. It’s amazing how much longer the snow sticks around just two hours north of Green Bay!

This past year I was fortunate not only to be back home and close to family, but to be back here at Channel 5. I consider the Meteorologists here my mentors and great friends. I love the challenges of forecasting the four seasons of weather in my home, Northeast Wisconsin.

I’m a graduate of The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Environmental Science. I continue my studies in Meteorology through the USDA Graduate School. I’m a full member of the American Meteorological Society, and of the local AMS Packerland Chapter.

When I’m not hard at work I’m usually spending time with family, especially my beautiful daughter Jaiden. In my free time I enjoy biking, disc golfing, listening to music, gardening, and yes, playing video games.

Please feel free to e-mail me. I look forward to your comments and questions and I hope to hear from you soon.
