Tammy Elliott returned to Channel 5 News in 2006, and is an award-winning journalist who anchors Channel 5 News at Five and co-anchors Channel 5 News at Ten with Tom Zalaski.
Elliott has received two of the most prestigious awards in broadcasting, the International Peabody Award and the Edward R. Murrow Award. She has reported twice from Rome, Italy – once to cover Milwaukee Archbishop Timothy Dolan’s pilgrimage to the Vatican, and to cover the death of Pope John Paul II. She has interviewed notable newsmakers like Laura Bush, Oprah Winfrey, Brett Favre, and even sat in the chair next to Regis Philbin after the departure of Kathie Lee Gifford. Throughout her career, she has been involved in community events ranging from fundraising walks to speaking and reading to school children.
Elliott was born in Ironwood, Michigan and moved to Northeast Wisconsin at a young age. She attended Ashwaubenon High School and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Elliott is married and has two children - Lauren and Carter.
