WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — A former Waterford School District employee has been charged with having sex with students.
Thirty-seven-year-old Amy R. Ellsworth pleaded not guilty Thursday during her arraignment in 51st District Court in Waterford.
Ellsworth, a former special education non-instructional aide at Mott High School, was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and four counts of first -degree criminal sexual conduct.
Police said she had sexual relations with three students on and off the campus, located about 25 miles northwest of Detroit.
Ellsworth was released on a $25,000 bond. A pre-exam conference has been set for 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 10. Police did not know if she had an attorney.
If convicted, Ellsworth faces life up to in prison.
