KALKASKA, Mich. (AP) — A suburban Detroit man is headed to prison for the rest of his life for the murder of a woman found dismembered in a northern Michigan swamp.

Forty-six-year-old David DeJonge (dee-'ONG) is set for sentencing Friday afternoon in a Kalkaska County courtroom.

A jury last month found him guilty of first-degree murder and mutilating a dead body in the death of 26-year-old Sarah Wilson, who lived with DeJonge in Oakland County's Bloomfield Township. Her body was found in a swampy area of Kalkaska County's Oliver Township in May 2008.

First-degree murder carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Defense attorney Peter Shumar says DeJonge maintains his innocence and will appeal.
