Bay Port Pirates win 1st ever State Championship

GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (AP) -- Zac Peterson's suicide squeeze bunt with the bases loaded in the eighth inning gave Bay Port a 3-2 win over Wilmot for the Division 1 title of the WIAA state baseball tournament Thursday.
Josh Jaro hit a one-out single in the eighth inning to ignite the winning rally.
Bay Port (26-5) scored twice in the fourth but Wilmot (24-6) tied it with a two-run rally in the seventh.
Bay Port won its first state title in its seventh appearance in the state tournament.
