Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol Swimming wins State Championship

Freshman Savanna Townsend won the 50 yard freestyle, and anchored a state-record setting 200 yard freestyle relay squad, as the Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol girls swim team won the Division 2 State Championship Friday night at the UW Natatorium.  The Clippers are the first team from Northeastern Wisconsin to win a girls' state team championship.

In Saturday's Division 1 competition, Shawano freshman Mackenzie Buss won the 100 meter backstroke.  Arrowhead was the D-1 Team Champion.
