GREEN BAY (WFRV) - The National Weather Service in Green Bay says the city is still waiting for the first measurable snowfall of the winter season. Measurable snowfall consists of a snow amount of 0.1" or greater. So far Green Bay has only received a trace of snow. Through December 3rd, this winter ranks as the 8th latest start to the snow season.

That puts it as the third warmest November on record. Only a trace of snow fell in the month, which goes down as the second least snowiest November.
Weather experts say this weather trend is in part due to the current El Nino conditions across the equatorial Pacific. The El Nino is expected to persist through the winter season.
