Home, Safe and Sound
Another 13 hours of driving...but here we are, back safe and sound in Green Bay.
What a Wednesday
Be careful what you ask for...you just might get it. And we got it today. Severe weather, not just nearby...but right over our heads.
The forgotten rattlesnakes!
A special treat in store for those of you who saw our 6 o'clock broadcast and realized...I told you nothing about the rattlesnake connection to eastern Colorado.
Colorado Potential
The time is 2:25pm, and we are currently sitting in Akron, Colorado waiting for the storm to form. For the first time on the chase, I can really "feel" the fact that the atmosphere is ready for thunderstorms, with a little more humidity and a lot of heat.
A Quiet Start, An Active Finish
The chase so far has admittedly been a bit quiet. Not much you can do when Mother Nature is completely in charge, but the weather does appear to be getting more active over the next couple of days.
Devil's Tower, Wyoming
Not much in the way of severe weather today, so we headed south to prepare for a good position for better chances at severe weather on Tuesday.
Day One Complete
Our first day of chasing certainly was forecasted to be bleak, but the weather took a turn for the better...or should I say worse?
Montana-bound?
As we set out for our first chance at storms today, we will work our way northwest into the state of Montana.
