Announcements

You may choose to send announcements to people that you did not invite to the wedding because they live too far away, they are only acquaintances, or you know they are unable to attend the wedding. Announcements are a way of informing people of your wedding without obligating them to send a gift. Either one of the couple's parents may send the announcements, or the couple may choose to send them. Include the date in the announcement, but not the time or location of the ceremony. Mail the announcements the day of, or the day after the ceremony. Remember, when addressing the announcements, it is better if they are handwritten, rather than typed. For more information on announcements, contact a wedding specialist.
