EAA crash investigation underway

WFRV News

An investigation into the crash landing that injured Nascar legend Jack Roush is underway this afternoon.

Roush was attempting to land on a runway last night when his Beechcraft jet came down hard.

Roush was able to walk off the jet on his own, but suffered injuries. He is in serious, but stable condition at Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah.

He and his secretary were the only two on the jet. She suffered minor injuries.

Roush owns four Nascar teams, including the car driven by Wisconsin native and Nascar driver Matt Kenseth.

We have a crew in Oshkosh and will bring you the latest details right here on WFRV.com and on our broadcasts tonight at 5 and 6 p.m.

Meanwhile, a single engine plane on its' way to Airventure from Canada had to make an emergency landing in North Dakota.

The plane was apparently having trouble with landing gear and was detoured to Bismarck.

While fire crews were in place, the pilot was able to get the wheel down and land the plane safely.
