OSHKOSH (WFRV) - A woman who stole a donation jar for a Neenah woman who needs a bone marrow transplant has turned herself in.
Oshkosh police tell us the 34-year-old turned herself in last night. Charges have been referred to the Winnebago County District Attorney’s Office.
The jar was stolen from the Planeview truck stop on Friday around 3am.
Surveillance video shows a woman attempting to pay for items with a check, which the store doesn't accept.
The video shows her talking with the clerk. It appears as though she was just going to leave the store and the clerk then turned away. At that point she grabbed the donation jar and walked out the door, leaving behind the items she had tried to purchase.
