SHEBOYGAN (WFRV) A 46-year-old South Dakota man is behind bars for allegedly making a fake bomb threat and robbing a bank in Sheboygan.

Investigators say around 4:30 Friday afternoon the Sheboygan County Sheriffs Department received a call from a man saying a bomb was going to be detonated outside the Sheboygan County Court House.  Sheriff's deputies and officers from the Sheboygan Police department responded to the area to clear the scene.

Moments later the Sheriff's department received a 9-1-1 call from the Guaranty Bank inside a Piggly Wiggly grocery store on Business Dr. in Sheboygan. The callers stated that a man had just robbed the bank and fled.

A short time later a Wisconsin State Trooper spotted a vehicle on I43 South that matched the description of the suspect's vehicle. When the trooper attempted to pull the man over he fled. A pursuit began near Belgium and reached speeds of up to 110 mph.

After using spike strips and a PIT manuever the vehicle came to a stop at the intersection of Green Bay Rd. and W. Cornell St in the City of Milwaukee.

The man has been taken into custody. He faces several charges including bank robbery, making a bomb threat, elluding, reckless driving and several other charges from several outstanding warrants.
