TOWN OF MENASHA - On December 2, 2009 at 10:07pm, officers were sent to a west side residence to check on the welfare of a 30 year old female. Officers were advised that this woman was separated from her husband and had gone to the residence to visit her children.
When officers arrived, they met with a 33 year old man and a 30 year old female. Officers observed injuries to the female and she indicated that she had been battered and strangulated to the point of unconsciousness. The female indicated that when she regained consciousness, she was in a vehicle in the garage with her children, ages 4 and 6, and her husband. The vehicle was running with the windows down and the garage closed. Shortly after that, officers had arrived at the home.
The female was taken to a local hospital for her injuries.
The 33 year old Town of Menasha man was booked into Winnebago County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct, false imprisonment, substantial battery, 2 counts of strangulation and 3 counts of attempted 1st degree homicide.
