Manitowoc (WFRV) – A 40-year-old Ashwaubenon man was charged with the murder of his wife Monday in court.
Ambrose Greaves was charged with First Degree Intentional Homicide for the alleged murder of 50-year-old Miki Greaves.
Miki’s body was found along a wooded trail in the Town of Cooperstown. She was only partially clothed. Later, the medical examiner determined she died of “multiple sharp-force injuries to the chest.”
A criminal complaint filed Monday reveals more about the police investigation into Miki’s murder. Investigators say Miki argued with Ambrose in the parking lot outside of her work, the day before she was found dead. That same day, the two went to a counseling session. Greaves returned to work “upset and crying.” A surveillance video shows the Greaves family car coming to pick Miki up from work. Ambrose was in the car. Miki was seen heading toward the vehicle.
Investigators say a clerk told them Greaves stopped at the One Stop gas station in Maribel around 4 the same day. Greaves told the clerk he had been stabbed and was bleeding. Later investigators searched the dumpster at the gas station and found bloody latex gloves and tissues.
Greaves is expected back in court Monday afternoon. His initial appearance was adjourned over questions he might not be eligible for a public defender.
